Nothing more wrong. Disaster Recovery has\u00a0 to\u00a0 deal\u00a0 with\u00a0 the\u00a0 emergency\u00a0 in\u00a0 case\u00a0 of\u00a0 an\u00a0 event which makes technology unavailable.\u00a0 Business\u00a0 continuity\u00a0 takes\u00a0 account\u00a0 of\u00a0 all \u00a0events\u00a0 that have\u00a0 economic\u00a0 impacts,\u00a0 regulatory\u00a0 compliance\u00a0 or reputational\u00a0 on\u00a0 company,\u00a0 both\u00a0 due\u00a0 to\u00a0 the\u00a0 lack\u00a0 of\u00a0 technological\u00a0 support\u00a0 or\u00a0 lack\u00a0 of\u00a0 infrastructure\u00a0 or personnel. Despite these differences, the two terms are often associated under the initials BC\/DR due to their many common considerations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify; color: #001832;\"><strong>The Business Continuity Plan <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The \u00a0Business \u00a0Continuity \u00a0Plan\u00a0 (BCP)\u00a0 is\u00a0 the\u00a0 result\u00a0 of\u00a0 a\u00a0 process\u00a0 that\u00a0 helps organizations prepare for disruptive events. Such events might be: a hurricane, a power outage caused by an excavator in the parking lot, flood offices or staff shortages due to a strike by public transport. The Business Continuity Plan is the result of collaboration of different roles. The involvement in this process can\u00a0 range\u00a0 from\u00a0 the\u00a0 design\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 emergency\u00a0 measures\u00a0 plan\u00a0 supervision,\u00a0 to provide input and support or be an active participant in the execution of the plan\u00a0 during\u00a0 an\u00a0 emergency.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify; color: #001832;\"><strong>Main steps<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Define, share and get approval on corporate Business Continuity with strategic and tactical rules to draw the plan, the roles and the responsibilities, all the internal and external resources and the suppliers involved in the plan, the time and the cost for the project.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mapping the company organizational structure to conduct a Business Impact Analysis (BIA). This will locate the company&#8217;s most critical services in terms of economic impact that a critical event would have\u00a0 on\u00a0 the\u00a0 company\u00a0 \u00a0 The\u00a0 greater\u00a0 potential\u00a0 impact,\u00a0 must\u00a0 have\u00a0 shorter\u00a0 actions\u00a0 to\u00a0 quickly restore a system or a process.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Risk assessment: \u00a0higher\u00a0 risks\u00a0 on\u00a0 a\u00a0 process require to\u00a0 pay\u00a0 more attention in creating emergency measures to restore the process.
